Our Missions in Space.....

This half term we have been very busy completing different missions in space. We just never knew how much fun you could have up in the big dark sky....

We began by looking at rockets and space travel...
We made rockets using junk.

We used rockets to help us spell.....

...and practice high frequency words.

We made paper rockets and then stuck a pipett to the back and had a competition of who could blow thier rocket the highest?

And finally we used rockets to help us practice our numbers.

We had a really cool role-play corner to act out our missions in space.
We made Space Stations from foil wrapped blocks.

We pretended we were in a rocket recording what we saw in space.

We used rockets and moon rocks to help us do addition too.

 Next we explored the moon....

We calculated how high we would jump if we were on the moon...

We had astronaut missions of walking to the moon....

And finally we made yummy moon cakes 😋😋😋😋😋
